IAB Mobile Filmstrip Banner
The IAB Mobile Filmstrip Banner plugin shows an initial banner that opens into a multi-panel ad the viewer can browse. Advertisers can tell a story or show several products inside a single mobile unit on Revive Adserver.
What it does
- A click on the first banner lists further images from the same advertiser, so one placement carries a whole product range.
- Viewers scroll or use gestures to move between panels, which suits storytelling because they explore at their own pace.
- Navigation controls at the top and bottom let the viewer move through the ads in horizontal or vertical position.
- A close button in the right corner of the ad lets the viewer leave the unit at any time.
- CPM, CPC and CPA pricing models are supported, so the unit fits different buying arrangements.
How it fits your ad stack
The unit is described as conforming to IAB guidelines and ad formats, without naming the guidelines, file types or sizes, so ask for those before building creatives. Whether it runs in app containers or only in mobile browsers is not stated. MRAID v3.0 is IAB Tech Lab's interface for rich-media ads in mobile apps, and teams serving expanding mobile units into apps usually check that point.
